Kindergarten

Dear Parents:

Kindergarten Registration begins now and goes through February 27th.The
Kindergarten Round-Up will be held on February 13th.  See the information below.

The window to complete priority registration is Jan. 14 – Feb. 27.

While you can register anytime, doing so during the Priority Registration window allows schools to accurately plan staffing, resources and class sizes for the upcoming year.

Start the Journey by completing the quick form on this webpage: https://www.davis.k12.ut.us/o/dsd/page/kindergarten-enrollment-page. After you complete the quick form, watch your email for instructions on your next step in getting your kindergarten student registered for their educational journey.

Kindergarten Round Up
Those children who will be 5 years of age on or before September 1st of 2026 will embark on an incredible, exciting adventure! Being “big enough” for Kindergarten is a delightful time in a child’s life, and we are pleased to be part of that adventure! At this time, we are surveying our school community to locate our incoming kindergartners and students coming the following year. If you have a child in your home that will be either 4 or 5 years old by September 1st, 2026, please contact the school’s office or email our Head Secretary cboswell@dsdmail.net as soon as possible.

We will hold a Kindergarten Round-Up day on February 13. Information for the roundup will be sent to those we have contact information for. We will host a kindergarten club playgroup again this year. The Kindergarten Club will meet a few times during the summer. This playgroup is an excellent way for new students, parents, and school staff to connect. Watch for more information on that at the Kindergarten Round-Up.

In addition to this, we would also like the names and contact information of any students who will enter school in 2027 as 5-year-old students. We would love to help them enroll in Upstart, a research-based free pre-kindergarten computer-based program to help students prepare for kindergarten. Those with students who will be 4 years of age before September should also contact our secretary with contact information for additional potential opportunities, including information regarding helping your child through preparation for Kindergarten and forming a playgroup with potential students and their parents.

Lastly, please inform other “kindergarten-age” children whose parents might not receive this notice.

Thanks!
